PIN Question

Hi,

Just booked our first family trip to Disney for 5 in May. In the hope that we might be offered a PIN code how often do you suggest I call Disney to see if a PIN is attached to our name? Also, when a PIN is given out what is the time frame that you have to utilize it? I'm not speaking in terms of what months it has to be applied but more like, it's attached to your name and you have 1 week to use it before it expires. Does anyone know how long they are generally valid? Hope this make sense! Thanks for any and all info!

There is no rhyme or reason to who gets pin codes, who does not get pin codes and what the details of those codes might be - it is all very random.

From what I've read, I know it's totally random but how often should I check with Disney Travel/booking to see if I have one? How long are they valid if I'm lucky enought to get one? For example, if I go more than a week before checking in and calling is it possible I could have received a PIN code and it has already expired? Thanks!
