Pin number for discount?

I received a 40% off pin number in my email yesterday and we wont need it unfortunately...but I know someone who is going to disney soon and could use it. Are they transferrable?

Sadly, no. PIN codes are only usable by the person named in association with them. There have been instances of people having problems using pins sent to old addresses and such, even... pins can never be transferred.

I think it's totally random. I've gotten three in five years but I know people who have never gotten any. I've never specifically signed up for anything, just traveled to Disney. I did order the DVD in 06, and I'm on the Disney Store mailing list, but other than that, I don't think you can do anything special to get them. There's a code/discount board which you can probably find out better info on.
