Hey eveyone!

I'm a long time reader, although I don't post too much on the boards here. Myself and my husband have collectivly taken 15+ trips in our lifetime to Disney so we, in no way, view ourselves as beginners when it comes to vacation planning for the big D. However, I have NEVER been graced with a PIN until now. A few months ago I recieved an E-mail with a PIN in it and after much number crunching and "should we, shouldn't we?" (we have a 3 year old boy who doesn't stop moving and a 5 month old girl) we've decided to go on another trip.

But my worry is that the wording in the E-mail specifies free dining for a 5-day visit. I've searched the FAQs and I haven't found anything specifying duration. I understand that you must arrive on one of the active dates listed in the E-mail to recieve the benefits of the PIN. In our case it would be Nov. 13th to the 21st which is all within the dates specified.

What I want to know is that is this PIN good only for a 5 day visit? Do I get 5 days of free dining, and the rest of the 9 day vacation is without dining? OR is that a minimum and the dining is for my length of stay?

Is this PIN good for me, or do I have to wait till Aug 1st, when the public free dining becomes active?

Please help out a PIN novice. :confused3

You can book for more than 5 nights as long as there is availability under the pin for those nights, as the 5 day in the pin is only an example. Dining goes by the number of nights, so if you stay for 8 nights and have the regular DDP, you would have a total of 8 TS, 8 CS, & 8 snacks per person to use in any way you want. If the pin was sent to you with your name/email (or your DH's name/email), you can book through that (pending availability) and you don't have to wait until August 1st when/if FD is announced for the GP. Sometimes email pins come with a link so you can check availability and get a quote yourself, but if your pin doesn't have one, you would have to call. Good luck and congrats on the pin :goodvibes.

FD offer requires a minimum of 3 nights and a maximum of 14 nights. It also requires a 2day base ticket minimum.

You must check in within the dates of the offer. You can check in the last day of the offer and you will still get FD for your entire stay.

If you stay at a value, you will get quick service, however, you can pay the difference and upgrade to the regular dining plan. You can also upgrade to deluxe as well by paying the corresponding difference.

The total entitlements can be used at any time, from 7am the day you arrive, until midnight the day you leave.

You can also use two entitlements for specialty dining options as well.

That said, if you are contemplating a deluxe, FD might not be good for you, since you only have 2 Adults and 1 paying child. A room discount would be a lot better for a deluxe in your case, even if you purchase the dining plan.

If you plan on staying at a moderate, it will probably be a wash - you should do the numbers. A value will be cheaper with an FD offer.
