Pin Meet at Pop Century - September 11

In addition to all the pin trading during the day at the Epcot Family Pin Gathering, Mean Laureen and I are planning a small get-together at the Pop Century food court on Saturday September 11 at 8:00 PM. There are games and activities planned for pin traders and non-traders alike. A list of activities currently planned can be found at the Great Pin Adventure 3 - Activities web page. Everyone is welcome to attend. We are asking for people who would like to attend to please register so we can get an accurate count for space and prizes. Please join us for a little relaxation after a day of lines and frantic trades.

Sounds like there will be plenty to do during the Epcot event. This should give everyone enough alternatives to make even the most die hard traders happy. There have been multiple meets happening in the past before. The DizPins meet is very well done and tends to cater to the more dedicated and serious pin trader. The Great Pin Adventure typically is more oriented to the enthusiast that is interested in more than just pins as there are non-pin activities for those travelling companions who just don't get the pin thing. One thing these two meets do have in common, they both provide a way for new traders to get their feet wet learning how to get started. Our very own RamVA is working hard to set up a system where those new to the hobby can come and ask questions and get much needed advice. I will be one of the first in line to get some of those tips in hopes of making a trade with fellow collectors.

I am working on a few games for those who are "location challenged". I have already had a few people register to play electronically so if you would like to register you are more than welcome. Maybe we can talk Obi Wan Pinobi to post a few things from the mini-meets for everyone to play at home.

The schedule of mini meets for the Great Pin Adventure 3 is now complete. Mean Laureen and Arizona Jeff will be at the following places during the event causing mayhem and confusion:

Thursday September 9
Dinosaur the Ride (Animal Kingdom) - 12:00 PM
Pizza Planet (Disney MGM Studios) - 6:30 PM

Friday September 10
Mission: Space (EPCOT) - 10:00 AM
Main Street Railroad Station (Magic Kingdom) - 2:00 PM
Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) - 5:00 PM

Saturday September 11
The Land (EPCOT) - 12:00 PM
Japanese Gardens (EPCOT) - 3:00 PM
The Great Pin Adventure 3 (Pop Century Food Court) - 8:00 PM

You are welcome to join them at any of these locations for pin trading and games. You will have an opportunity to earn Adventure Dollars that can be used at the Adventure Auction which will be held Saturday night at the GPA3 event. We look forward to seeing everyone. But we'll warn you in advance, Arizona Jeff had a year off so his imagination is working overtime and you just have no idea what is going to happen.
