Pin meet at Burlington Mall in Mass

Thought it was a great way to start the New Year.

Back by popular demand the Burlington Mall pin meet!

Saturday, January 10th starting at 9 AM in the Food Court and lasting until whenever.

We have never been to a pin meet before. Do people bring kids? We live about an hour away and my DD4 heard me say something about this post to my DH and now wants to go. The only trading we have ever done has been at disney with cast members(we are new to this in the last year). What are the pin meets like so I can explain it to my daughter if I decide to bring her?

They are fun. And kids have always been at the ones I have gone to

Many people bring their children who also trade.

At some pin meets I've been to there have been games that everyone can play. At others, people just socialize and trade.

It's nice to go just to meet other pin traders in your area and 'talk Disney' and see some of the pins that people have. There are sooooooo many pins out there.

Wish I could go, but I work on Saturdays. If they ever decide to plan one for a Sunday, I'm there!!!

thanks Nat and Kathie for the info. I think my dd would love to see different pins and show her princess pins to someone other than family (they just don't get how much she loves them).

rdrjj5 - I live about an hour away also and go to Burlington meets about every 3rd one or so. There is usually a good turn out and people do bring kids.

One good thing is that there is usually trading on every level, from novice to hard core. It is a great way to get to meet some "local" traders and feel a little more connected when you see people post. A face to go with a name is nice at times.

Hello Everyone,

I'll see if the girls want to go check things out? We haven't been for a while and their pin collections have increased (thanks in part to Ebay).

The only time myself, DD & DN attended a pin meet we were extremely novice, still are but this great group of people made us feel welcomed and were very good & honest with trading with my girls.

I told my H (notice no D in front of the H) (He in not a Disneyaholic like the girls and I!) about the pin meet, and asked him to take our two DD's, as I was working. He called me crazy!! While I was at work my DH called and asked what time it started. (I guess he does have a D)
He was there at 9:00 and my DD3 and DD5 had a great time and didn’t want to come home. They called me and were so excited they could hardly talk.
How often do they do this at the Burlington Mall?
I'd love to go some time.
