Where's the best placeto pick up a cheap - but fully tradeable, even if you're not a kid and the CM doesn't have to trade with you by law, pin lot? It needs to be someplace dependable that I can order from online.

Go to EBAy and search on DISNEY PIN Lot or use PINCASTLE.COM

Their prices are high. You can easily find pins for $2.50 a piece.

I usaually buy a 10 pin lot on EBAY for about 28.00 or 29.00 dollars.

Fair enough. I'd say $27 with shipping. I just checked their website, not ebay.

I got an email from someone suggesting mousepinsonline for grab bags of pins -- has anyone purchased from them? I'm not having much luck with my "low" bids on ebay to get a few pins for my DD to try trading.

Sorry -- Did some more searching and found more discussion on that site about buying pins -- mostly sounds like a couple of people liked it and several warned away from it -- apparently they have pins that are not always tradable. (sorry I posted question before doing more searching).

Not sure how much you're able to bid, but I wasn't winning any of the lots I was bidding on until I raised my limit a little.

For 2 weeks I've been bidding on lots that are only the CM Lanyard ones - when I raised my maximum amount to $2.50 per pin I was able to win some lots, and the winning bid wasn't my maximum bid, so they ended up being between $2.13-$2.49 each, not including shipping. I think with shipping they averaged out to $2.64.

Thank you! Lo and behold I just got a successful bid -- with shipping i think it's coming out to $2.80 per pin, (of course a couple of them are pins I want to keep and not trade! -- which may defeat the purpose of adding this activity for something fun for DD and DGS to do on our next trip). I've already spent so much on WDW this year, that a few more $$ shouldn't really matter -- I've just always had to be careful with pennies and pin trading has always seemed kind of frivolous -- but it does look like it could be really fun for them, they're both very outgoing. Oops -- maybe I shouldn't say frivolous -- that probably applies to just about everything Disney, as much as we all love it; and I wouldn't want to offend any pin traders (I fully understand collecting -- you should see my frivolous Star Trek collection! [I don't have any big, expensive pieces, tho]).
I guess I'm worried we'll get too "hooked" on pin trading, too!

Glad you won some. :)

I know DD will want to keep some of ours too.
