PIN Help?

I need a crash course on how to sign up for these pins! I've never planned my own Disney Vacation. Before now, it has always been Disney Vacation with the mom and dad, though this year I'm planning to go with my boyfriend and I and I need help!

Who would I call to see if I have a pin?
Where do I sign up to hopefully get an email with the magical PIN added.

There's no magic formula to getting one. But things you can do to make sure your email/address is in Disney's system would be go to their site and register. Order the trip planning DVD there, and also save a few possible dates for trips on the site. Again, none of this will guarantee you a PIN, but it ensures your email is in their system.

Some people think saving a trip there triggers it, but there are PLENTY of people who saved a trip there and didn't receive one. It's a mystery, the elusive PIN.

I have three emails in the system for my household. Two of the emails regularly get pins while my main one (and one I use for booking usually!) NEVER gets them.

I was wondering about the calling in to see if you have a pin. How does this work out?

You may be in the Disney system (by name, at least) since you've been with your parents. You would call the reservations number (don't have it in front of me, but it's on the website) choose "new reservation" when prompted (there will be MANY prompts) and once you get someone, ask if they could check and see if you have a PIN. Have them check by your name, AND by your address. Sometimes you will get a castmember who will say they cannot check, in which case you call back later and try someone else.

What are your dates? Have you checked the general public code to see if it covers your dates?

I'm hoping for August 21-31. There's the late summer deal I know of but that is all I'm aware of.
