Pin Event- what happens after?

OK, I've never really paid attention to pin events before. But the O'Pin house pins were really cool, and we didn't have time to search any out when we were at disneyland, and I don't think we are going back until Spet.
Are they discontinued now that the event is over? All the ones I liked were open edition. So, does that mean open edition to the event, or are they going to be added into the general population of open edition pins?
