A few yrs ago my FIL took all of us to WDW but when he did the booking we didn't know my now SIL's lat name as she had only been dating my BIL for a couple of months. So when we booked the trip we made up a name for her.
Well guess who got a PIN mailed to my FIL's house? That's right, the fake name!!!:sad2:
Talk about unfair.

Have you called to see if they'll still let you use it? We had a similar situation, a free dining PIN was sent to our junk/mailing lists Gmail account that doesn't have our name on it. They allowed us to use it after some explanation! :yay: (they did announce free dining to the general public about a week after we booked with our PIN though, so they might've been a little lenient because of that). But still, it's worth a shot!

Maybe I'll try it, who knows right? I'll let you know what comes of it. We are already booked for fall 2010 but we are booked at a value hoping for FD, but if we could get a PIN we wanted to add a few days at a deluxe to our stay.

Wow, you and I even picked the same ticker guage (mickey head). what are the odds? ;)

Hope it works out, let us know!

I got a pin mailed to my parents house in my maiden name...it arrived yesterday...I've been out of the house and married for 10 years now!

GAH, I just experienced a PIN disappointment of my very own! Got one in the same email account I previously mentioned... but it's for DisneyLAND, not WDW!! :headache:

I've heard it increases your chance of getting those lovely pin codes if you sign up for everything you can on the WDW web site, and order a planning video too!

A couple years ago we were booked on DCL, and my grandparents were coming as well. Being the slightly OCD planner that I am, I wanted the ability to look at the reservations online, and my grandparents didn't have a computer, so I used my work e-mail address for their reservation. Low and behold, I got a pin a couple months ago, just as I was planning my upcoming April trip, but it was in my grandmother's name.

I called and they tried to deny me using the pin, but when I explained that it came to my work e-mail address (which happens to be my first and last name), she spoke to a supervisor and they let me use it.

Note to those still waiting for the elusive PIN code...I was playing around on the WDW website, looking for some pricing for one of my sister's co-workers, trying various options (different resorts, dining options, etc), and lo and behold didn't I get an e-mail a couple days later with a PIN code for those dates! So try it out and see!!

It was funny to see that I'm not the only one who recently received a promotional PIN in the mail - addressed in my maiden name to my parent's home. I haven't lived there for more than 14 years. I stopped in for a cup of tea at Mom's and there it was .... just what I'd been waiting for. Well, I would have been thrilled if passholder rates for January hadn't been released just the day before. Still, NOT complaining - we were able to amend our January booking using the reduced AP rates :cool1: and I'm glad to know that Disney has sent us something, keep 'em coming! Have a great day, everyone.:santa:
