Pin code question...

Am I correct in remembering that PIN codes are not transferable from family to family?

Our friends just got one that they won't be using but that cover the dates of one of our upcoming trips....

I just got off the phone with WDW and booked 2 rooms with my pin code, one in my name and one in my moms name. So I'm guessing if your friends wouldn't mind paying for it (then you can reimburse them) they could book a room in your name. It would be worth it just to see if it would work.

I think that I read in another thread on here that Disney will ask for identification at check in. If you use someone else's pin, you may have trouble at check in when you don't have identification that matches.

Just this last trip I used our pin code for both us and my parents with no problem...I think if our friends were traveling with us and booked our rooms it would be OK - I just want to confirm that they can't transfer the PIN to us if they aren't using it...

I used a pin this morning, it was sent to my email address but with my sisters name. When I called to use it, she took all my info and the code wasn't attached to my name, so then she asked me for the code and I gave it to her, and she was then able to book the package. I didn't even mention to her that the code had my sisters name on it. My feelings were that it was there mistake, not mine... I booked a trip for her and I that we took in January. I end up getting codes with my two sisters names from time to time because I'm the trip booker and they're the travel alongers. LOL
