Instead of a lanyard, I would like a book for my daughter to put her pins in. Kind of like a trapper keeper, or something like this. Does anyone out there know of any such thing and where I can purchase it?

TIA,

Danielle

We bought ours from Disney Shopping. If you go to "Collectibles" and then click "Pins" and then "Accessories" there are a couple of styles.

In the parks they have the bigger ones (Like a Trapper) or smaller ones that are about the size of a CD case.

Thanks. I see it!! It looks like it would only hold about 25 pins. Is that right? I guess I could always get her that one to carry for trading and then a bigger one like a trapper when we get home (back to wdw) to keep all of them in. She has over 50 and only has been one time. Can you spell spoiled?

I actually purchased what is sort of the equivalent of a photo album for pins back in maybe 2001 or so, at World of Disney in Anaheim. I like this better for display purposes, not necessarily for traveling or for hardcore sellers. It does not zip up or anything. It is just an album with a three ring binder and felt pages. Each page has little squares sectioned off and you stick all your pins in the squares. There are plastic sheets protecting each page as well. I only bought one album at the time to see how I would like it and WOD stopped selling them shortly thereafter, and so did Disneyland. WDW said they still had some in stock a few years ago, but mainly, the things that are always available for pin protecting and keeping are those little cases that zip up. I used to be a fervent watch collecter and those were tricky to display - you couldn't exactly sick them in an album unless you took them out of their cases - or carry around for selling. Plus, they got to be too costly to collect. But pins are everywhere and easier to display, tote and collect!

You can buy your own trapper keeper and buy the pages when you go to WDW. they are a hard plastic with a flocked top. I don't remember the exact price but I think they were 10 pages for $10. If you want them now call Disney Merchandising and ask them if they know what they are. I am sure someone will know. Or call the pin store in DTD directly, they would know more.
I do have one of the books that Disney sold and I am about to sell it on ebay. I didn't like that it was open and the pins sometimes came loose and fell out of the book.
I bought a notebook at Walmart that is clear plastic with a zipper around 3 sides that closes up completely. I feel the pins are safer in there.
You might want to think about displaying her pins. I bought some of those huge framed cork boards at Walmart. They are under $10. I painted the cork and put my pins right on the board. I have black background with red painted frame for my Mickey's and purple for my Figments. I also did a large flag with a gold background for my patriotic pins. I would put up photos but I am computer illiterate.
