Pin backs vs fastener-style?

I have "discovered" a few cloisonne & enameled Dis pins with fasteners on the back. The ones I have seen are older, dated a year or two before the "pin fever" broke out. Are these tradable as well?

Do they always trade as long as the copyright "(c) Disney" mark is present, regardless of the attachment style in the back?

but they are NOT tradable. I have several dozen of the old style and even though they have the Disney copyright on them they are not CM tradable.

While these may not be CM tradable, they may be very desirable to other pin traders.

I have had several of these older pins that I think were from the "gift giver" machines?

Many people are collecting these, and I have made good trades with them.

Also, my DS#2, DieHardDonald, loves any kind of Donald pin. He has several older pins with the clasp/lock. From what he tells me, several of the ones he has are pretty hard to find, and were tough trades.

The ones I got were distributed among some store salespeople when the Lion King movie first came out (94?)

Unless you picked them up and turned them around, you could not tell that they did not have the tradable, pinback style! They are authentic cloissonne pins, they don't even look like buttons or plastic pins. Seems sort of frivolous to me that Disney imposed the "pinback only" condition and they don't trade in the parks. Oh well, their game, their rules, I suppose...

I was not sure about adding them to Pinpics because I did not know if they traded or not.
But, hey, if they have Coca Cola and Disneyana (not convention) pins, I suppose they could have "(c) Disney" pins with fasteners on the back too!

I'll see when I can get to it. We are leaving tomorrow!
