Pin ? Animal Kingdom

My 8 yr old DD got the Animal Kingdom Pin of Month in Sept of 2001 while on the Disney Cruise. When we got home I saw that they were going for $50 on Ebay but she didn't want to sell. Is this pin still worth anything? Just curious.

The pin you are talking about is pinpics #2659, the October POM in 2000. Don't know about resale value, but it is a good trader. 37 people have it for trade and 90 pin collectors want it. The problem with the series was Jan-March was an LE of 5,000. April-Sept the LE shot up to 15,000, then Oct-Dec they dropped it to 3,000 making the last three months the hardest to get. This really ticked off a lot of people trying to collect the set.
