Pillows different between resorts?

I thought all the pillows in the DVC rooms were the same.

We were at BRV & OKW last month and the BRV pillows we’re just like flat foam Walmart quality pillows and OKW were the “good ones”.

I’m worried DVC is getting cheap with their pillows. 😩 We’re headed back in September staying at SSR and I wonder if I should just bring my own?

Just about all the resorts we have stayed at have the Sobella pillow in the soft and firm types. Biggest problem I've found with DVC pillows is that none are king sized, only regular and queen sized.

Honestly, if it means that much to you (and I understand wholeheartedly that it truly does for some people) then I would just bring my own. You can even get a space saver bag with an electric pump and you can put all of your pillows into the same bag and vacuum it down to just a couple of inches thick so it fits nice and neat inside of luggage. It's springs right back to shape as soon as you open the bag.

Just make sure you bring that electric pump with you to repack them going home.

We always use this for our clothes. You wouldn't think that you could get that much extra space by using these bags with clothes that have no stuffing in them but I can get at least two and a half large suitcases worth of clothing into one suitcase with these space saver bags.

But yes, you've got to remember to bring the pump. LOL

I forgot the pump one time and we had to drive to Walmart to pick up another one. It's just the same pump you would use for an air mattress.

If I get desperate, I stuff some sweats into a pillowcase and roll with it.

I must be getting too cynical in my old age. My first thought was that a previous guest stole the good ones at BRV and replaced them with Walmart pillows.

I’m getting economical. Walmart has different kinds of pillows so although I recognize the use of the word Walmart by some to describe any inferior product, as a regular Walmart shopper I just wondered which kinds of pillows dissatisfy the OP as the actual choices (14,776 on the Walmart app) abound.

Really? Oh dear me.

I do enjoy a good king sized pillow. :D

That's a good idea!. This was the first time I experienced a bummer pillow at any Disney hotel. Maybe it's just a fluke. But I'm definitely thinking of bringing my own.
