on another thread someone mentioned how great the pillow top mattresses were at por.. have they always had them or are they new since the renovations.. or are they even there at all?? :confused3

I stayed two nights at POR in February.. Stayed in Magnolia Terrace and the beds in my room did not have pillow top matresses. I have a pillow top here at home on my bed and it is great but POR, at least when I was there didnt have them.. In fact the matress on the bed i used wasnt very comfortable at all.

We have not stayed there in awhile, but have in the past and never encountered a pillow top mattress. It would be nice if it were true, but I'd be pleasantly surprised it it were!

this was posted by someone who was just there last week and said the room was definatly newly renovated and still smelled like paint and new carpet... anyone else that just got back that may have the answer?? :confused3

she said she was in AB 15

Well, if it's true, I know where I'm staying! The only pillowtops we have encountered at WDW is at the new Saratoga Springs Resort.

ok now i am really confused.. i just went back to the original thread where this was posted and the op said yes they did have pillow top mattresses so thick that the sheets were comming off.. and soooo comfortable! could they just be in ab section?? still :confused3

We stayed in a renovated room in december. Not sure if the beds were pillowtop but they were very very comfortable! :earsboy:

hi nygrl! thought i'd jump over to this thread to take a look. my parents who stayed in magnolia terrace their first night (because their room AB 15 was not available when they arrived) seemed to have had different types of beds. when i sat down on their bed, it didn't feel like the same. our beds in AB 15 were firmer and seemed thicker.

i don't want to confuse you more...but this is just my comparison based on my experiences. btw, my parents who later moved to AB 15 said they slept much better in the beds at AB 15.

The Grand Floridian also has them.

I think they are part of all the remodeling that is going on. The BC got them in 2003 when they had all their rooms remodeled.

we were there last month in the Magnolia section, all we had were uncomfortable double beds, no pillowtop.

We were at POR last week in a newly renovated room in the AB section. Even though the beds were comfortable, I really don't think they were pillow-top. If they were they weren't thick enough to be noticable.
