Does anyone know of a good deal out there on Pillow Pals? Is there more than one brand? A group of kids I shop for all asked for these so it would be so easy if I could find a good deal on them. At the same time I don't want to disappoint them by finding a great deal on "Pillow Friends" or "Pillow Buddies" and then find out it is the wrong thing! Don't get me wrong, the kids would be kind and thankful either way but it is my desire to get the "right" gift.

I can't say as far as Black Friday goes since I'm not shopping for Pillow Pets (Auntie took care of that ) but it seems that a lot of places (Walmart, possibly Target, etc) all have the most common ones for $19.

Be careful as their are rip off brands out there. My son wanted the frog for his birthday so my MIL told him she would get it for him. We searched all over for it and she finally thought she found it at a local mall kiosk. Turns out it is not a true pillow pet. She also paid about 10.00 more for it as well. A true pillow pet will say pillow pet on one of the corners. To see what it looks like check out the pillowpet.com website and look up how to identify a real pillowpet. The rip offs you can not wash in the washer whereas the real thing you can as well.

I haven't seen them in any Black Friday ads (and I looked for them--Santa is bringing Pillow Pets for everyone this year). Bed Bath and Beyond carries the bee, ladybug, puppy, and unicorn. You can use the 20% off one item coupons or 5 off $15 or whatever other coupons you can come up with on them.

I have also seen them in Walgreens, Walmart, Target, CVS, and even Fleet Farm. I just bought the more exotic ones from a place called snugglezooshoppe.com, but they haven't arrived yet (I just ordered them a few days ago). They were a little more expensive($24.95 instead of $19.95), but I was able to get the ones that aren't readily available in stores and they only charged $5.49 shipping no matter how many I bought.

Best Price I have found is 14.99 after a 5.00 off a 14.99 purchase coupon from bed bath and beyond that comes in the mail.
Also don't forget..They do take expired coupons that are mailed to your home.

Yep, Santa is bringing these for our boys too and the best deal I could find is with BBB and a coupon. They have more than those PP listed though, I got the dog and monkey there. They go fast. I had to ask about the monkey, took 10 min but they finally found me one. They had just put them out so the lady "upstairs" said they were on the rack but we hunted and couldn't find them... they'd gone that fast. I was prepared to ask them to order me one or hold one, whatever was needed!

found imitation pillow pets at the Christmas Tree Shop for $7 and they were REALLY nice and oh so soft check it out.

JoAnn's and Hancock Fabrics carry them and you can use a 40% off coupon on them. I am not sure of the regular price but if it is $19.99 that makes them $11.99. The craft stores usually run a 50% off coupon for next weekend.

I will definately have to check those out! DS wants one, but I cannot find anything more than the basic ones. I would like to get him something more fun. I could care less (and he either, he does not go to preschool, so there is no status factor at naptime! ) if it is name brand or not. A pillow is a pillow in my book.

blech - I was googling all over the place trying to find these over the weekend. I finally ended up with 2 purple hippos, a bear and a lion.

You can get them from their ad in the sunday paper or online if you do a google search. Call the store you are headed to before you go out because their stock is usually limited and not all stores carry them.

Which ones did Buy Buy Baby have?

For those of you thinking about Christmas Tree shop, they do have imitations for 7.99. They have the basic lady bug, panda, dog versions, but they are quite a bit smaller than the "real" pillow pets. I went ahead and bought DS one to keep at Grandma's and we will get a bigger one for home. (My kid has a big head! )
