Pillow cases...do I need a ziplock bag for EACH

We do all realize (don't we?), that Mickey, Minney, Goofy, Cinderella, etc. are not all sitting back in a little lounge area signing our pillowcases, don't we!! :rotfl2: But hey, I'm right there with you! We took one for our grandaughter in a ziplock bag (forgot the markers, but they said that was OK) then, unfortunately, forgot to pick it up from guest services nor was it delivered to us. After returning home and making a call, Disney, being Disney, said they had it and would send it to us (signed, I hope) ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

It seems like once a week this thread comes up, and there are always different opinoins/tips on this. There are also a lot of great ideas on what else you can get signed besides pillow cases.

Search this forum under pillowcases and you'll be shocked at how much time and energy people spend on this subject.

Our experience: we put two pillowcases in two separate bags with colored sharpies sealed inside. A tip I got from these boards, I had a picture of my DD's 2 & 4 from halloween (dressed as Ariel and Flounder) transferred to iron on paper (just copied it).

Turned them in on the first night, and DH picked them on on the last night. They were signed by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Chip & Dale - and ARIEL. The girls were thrilled.

Good luck!

Some things I didn't know/ find an answer to before we did this:
-The markers don't bleed though (they must put something in the middle to prevent this)
-Wash the pillowcase beforehand!! Sharpies will smear otherwise, but maybe you want that drop shadow effect ;)
-I used plain white cases & requested "any and all characters" to sign and got: Mickey/Minnie/Chip/Dale/Pluto/Goofy/Donald/Daisy/Lilo/Stitch
Sister-in law used character cases and got: Aurora/Snow White (the only characters on the case) and only Mickey Mouse on the Finding Nemo case.
-I was warned, wrote it down on a sticky note and a schedule & still managed to forget all about the pillowcase the last night :p Luckily our in-laws remembered and got it for us!
-Oh, and I never even thought about a gratuity for this! Really not sure who it would go to though, so many people handle it. 1st Guest Services person who takes it, others who sign, 2nd guest services person who gives it back...

Hi --

I transferred a picture of each of my 3 children (of each of them with their favorite character from our last Disney trip) onto three pillowcases. I did put each in a separate ziploc with the Sharpies.

I never thought of the tipping though. I picked them up of the last day.

When I got home, I bought three new pillows and the kids put them on their beds but do not actually sleep on them. This way they wont get ruined.

It is such a great souvenior. Deb :lovestruc

We did the same thing. Two pillowcases in one ziploc bag with four different colored sharpies. Dropped it off at guest services and was told it would be ready on Friday.

Almost forgot about it, but while packing, DH remembered. We asked our steward and he had it put away. Said he usually hands them back instead of leaving them in the stateroom, in case they are meant to be a surprise gift of some type (ours were).

On one side, we had over twenty signatures! They looked great. When we got home, I made iron on transfers of some of our pictures from the trip and put those on the other side. My kids love their pillowcases!!
