We have a Pilko P-3 (as well as our original travel system stroller) that I love and are going in Feb for the first time to WDW with our 19 month old son and extended family. We'll be staying at a Disney hotel so will use the Disney transportation. I've read that the P-3 is kind of bulky and doesn't fit well between the seats on the shuttle buses. I don't really want to buy another stroller but don't want to hassel either. Is it really a problem getting it on/off the shuttles?

Thanks,
Gina

I did just fine with mine and I travelled aloe with then 15mo DD and 8yo DSis. It certainly fit better than those travelling with Graco and other similar travel systems. I also use it on public buses all the time without problem. I say go for it!!

and I absolutely LOVE that stroller!!!! The seat is so comfortable (per my DD who had just turned 4 the first time we took it) and it steers so nicely. We only took the bus once and it was fine for that. Unfortunately my DH hates riding the bus so we mostly use a rental car to get to/from the parks and he (I didn't think it was THAT bad) says it is a tight squeeze on the parking lot trams. I think ANY stroller is that way though on the trams except a lightweight umbrella type - there's just not that much foot room between the seats. Anyway, I would definitly take the P3 if we were using the busses. I have been debating buying a new umbrella type (or renting) on our next trip but would love to convince DH to just take the P3 and we could save some money!

Have a great trip!

Great thank you both. I'm going to take mine. It's not very heavy and has the carrying handle so I think we'll be okay.

We bought ours just before our trip in Dec. - specifically for the trip. It was great!

DS loved being able to sit up straight (none of our previous strollers did this). And this kid who HATED being in his old Eddie Bauer stroller for any length of time, would jump into the P3 and pull the tray into place himself! That stroller is worth it's weight in gold at WDW and home. And this is from someone who always thought people who bought all the expensive baby stuff were crazy!

I am also a Britax Marathon convert, but that's another story...

Thanks for the info. I also have the Eddie Bauer stroller as part of my travel system and ds always tries to sit up closer than the seat allows when we use it. He enjoys this stroller and I like that it reclines almost flat.

PS-I also have two Britax Marathons, lol! :sunny:

Oh, another thing!

We brought the Eddie Bauer to WDW in Jan. 04. In Dec. 04 we brought the P3 and thought it was great folding up to get on the busses & trams (when we didn't drive there ourselves)! Of course, in our case it was all compared to a year earlier with the bulky Eddie Bauer.

We do also tend to drive to the parks alot to avoid the whole bus thing though. But I wouldn't hestitate to bring the P3 if we were in WDW without a vehicle.

Ginagbaby1 when was your DS born? Our DS just turned 19 mos. and was born 6/27.

Have a great trip!

Hi Kristi
My ds was born on July 2 so about a week or so after yours. How old was he when you went to WDW? Did This is our first trip to WDW so we are so excited. We took ds to Disneyland in September and he loved it. Loved all the rides and characters so I'm hoping this time it's the same. Now though he's a toddler with his own agenda so we'll see. We are going with family and there will be kids ranging from 3 months to 10 years old so it should be interesting!
