PIF and reservation windows

I have cruised a few times on DCL and I feel like I should know this by now! Maybe my question will also help others.

My paid in full date is 90 days from the day we sail. My gold booking window opens however 15 days prior. (And if I were platinum I suppose it would be 15 days earlier than that). Do I have to be PIF at 105 days to take advantage of my early booking? Are there things I can do at 105 days and not be PIF? You can get a PAT and register online but no excursions and no onboard fun things? Or can I? Thanks in advance for those who clarify all of this for me!

You must be paid in full to enter and do anything.
We are platinum and pay in full at 125 days to get the activities we want.

Yes, make sure you pay in full before your booking window opens. You'll be able to book activities right away when gold priority kicks in.

You do NOT need to be paid if full to access/complete online check in.

Well, that's been changed, then.

Maybe people were getting too confused as to when they could do things and just made it the same for both.
