I had all three of my daughters ears pierced when they were around six months. They all had a lilly pop to suck, and not one cried. Our pediatrician recommended it to be done when they were younger as they had a less chance of an allergy developing. Have no clue if that is even a thing now, as this was 22 years ago. I have an allergy to nickel and had my pierced later in life. All three of my girls are fine and I have zero regrets. Two of the three had a second hole pierced when they were older. Maybe 13 ish. If someone wants to have them done younger, go for it. If you want to wait that's ok too. I really am not willing to judge. I think we have to do what is best for us, and move on. At least on this subject anyway.
