Pierce Brosnan done with Bond

I had heard that Adrian Paul from 'Highlander' was being considered also. He certainly could pull off the bad guy fighting parts and he's not too tough on the eyes either!

Oh no !!!!!We can't lose Pierce Brosnan he's at least a 00"10":lovestruc :cloud9: By the way...Can anyone explain why Sean Connery got better looking with age. He was a great Bond but he got better looking later in life. Isn't he handsome?

Don't laugh but Roger Moore was always my favorite Bond:) All the others seem too small and wimpy-haha. Christian Bale would be great he was good in American Psycho and Equilibrium. I can't wait to see him in Batman Begins.

Im sad to see Brosnan go but Adrian Paul would be a great fill in!

I could still go and watch the movies with dh ;)

I loved Pierce as James Bond, he is not that old compared to what Sean Connery and Roger Moore were when they stopped make the Bond movies....not a happy camper here over this....:( :( :(

I am very disappointed to read this as I thought Pierce Brosnan was just the perfect Bond, but it's also thought that this may perhaps be a negotiating ploy. I'd love to see him do one or two more Bond films.

I'm not sure if this link will post for everyone as it comes from my Earthlink homepage, but I'll also post the paragraph indicating some of the possible choices for actors to follow, some names that haven't been mentioned yet in this thread.

Report: No More Bond For Brosnan

"England-based Eon Productions, which produces the Bond flicks, must find another star to carry 007's Walther PPK in the 21st Bond movie, scheduled for release next year.

Speculation surrounds Brits Clive Owen, Ioan Gruffudd, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Gerard Butler, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor, as well as Aussies Hugh Jackman, Heath Ledger and Eric Bana. "

I really, really hope they don't pick Hugh Grant. I think he'd be all wrong for the role. I'd never seen Clive Owen in anything before, but I just saw King Arthur recently and he could be a very good choice. I could envision Hugh Jackman in the role also.

An apology to Orlando fans, but he's just too "cute" to be Bond, although the younger Bond in college angle may work.

I really like Pierce as Bond, but have recently discovered Clive Owen ("King Arthur") and wouldn't feel the pain near as much if he stepped in....;)

Orlando Bloom is set to be the next Bond.

I hope not!!!!

He's cute, but in a girly clay aiken kind of way :bounce:

Love Orlando but he's too "metro" to be Bond. I'm hoping for Clive Owen.

Sean Connery was my favourite Bond until Pierce Brosnan took over. Think they both were equally as good. Don't think I will watch another Bond movie after Pierce retires from the role.

I watch Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood on a regular basis and several months ago when Pierce was promoting his last movie, they all asked him about making another Bond movie and he always gave the same answer in every interview. "They know where to find me" or "They haven't contacted me".

The impression I got from these interviews was that he was VERY interested in doing another one or two but that the producers for some reason were not interested in him.

So he probably go tired of waiting for a call from them and to save face called it quits first before they could embarrass him by saying they don't want him.

That's too bad. I thought Pierce was the perfect bond. I suppose I would as he's so attractive. I think they are making a mistake. I may have to give up my Bond addiction.

Bummer! I really liked Pierce as Bond. :(
I love Orlando, but I just can't see him as Bond.

I have also heard Ewan McGregor as another possible Bond. I like him, or Clive Owen in the part.

Oooooh! Mr. Brosnan can always stop my heart when he wears that tux. Good lookin'!:faint:
