I love that you sold your old jewelry for food! The ultimate sacrifice! :rotfl2:

Have a happy birthday, a great time, and drink lots for me too! I can't drink right now on account of I don't want to give birth to a little alien looking creature :thumbsup2

I am having serious margarita withdrawl here!!!

Absolutely hysterical! Think it'll work? :rotfl:

I sure hope it will work!

There you go.... every now and then I have those inspired moments... :lmao::rotfl2:

Can't wait to hear how "to-go" works for you... (looking forward to it, actually.... cuz if it works for you...maybe it'll work for me!)

I will let you know how it goes. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I forgot about my Spaaaaaaaahhhhhhh comments. :laughing:

I'm thinking my dresses are too big, which could be a good thing when you look at it. But I have a dress that is the proper size, so I'm going to try that out and see how that works for me. Either that or go swimming in my bigger dress.

Wear a dress that fits and flatters you, babe; flaunt it! :goodvibes

I will be at the Spaaaaaaaaaahh on Wed getting appropriately painted nails and toes for Halloween festivities at Disneyland.:cool2:

Great news about the dresses being too big!!:cool1:

I go back to the spaaaaaahhhhhh for the nails next week. :cloud9:

Sadly no, not this year. Although I can't be too sad, because we're going for NYE in lieu of the F&W this year. I haven't seen the castle all sparkly yet & we're celebrating my 46th birthday at CG on the 30th of Dec. at 9:00pm so we'll get to see the special showing of Wishes at 11:50pm from the observation deck. I will have to live vicariously through all your yummy reviews.

Well, WDW during NYE is a pretty good trade off! Happy early birthday to you and I will do my very best to get some fabulous pictures and reviews posted here once we get home. :goodvibes

I've been meaning to sell it for a while now but I kept forgetting. What better use than to put that cash towards foodie love? :laughing:

I will raise a glass in your honor and the baby's when we are enjoying margaritas at the Tequila Ditch! :hug:

Thanks! Happy Birthday to you, as well! I hope you have a fantastic birthday celebration at WDW! May you come home with a satisfied, but not ailing, tummy! :tinker:

Hey there Brenda!
I've tried to stay away from these boards when I have no trip to plan because my DH doesn't like me to get the keyboard soggy from the weeping.
BUT
if you take a gander at my ticker, we have a last minute trip planned for my son's 9th birthday next week!!! Since booking the trip I have spent the past week on the online reservation website typing in 'Ohana over and over for 92 hours straight. One time I got through but couldn't bring myself to type in the security check words "nematode hellish" (no exaggeration).
We will be there until the 20th but plan to spend the entire trip in the Club lounge as I've instructed my children to eat their weight in Uncrustables in order to justify the upgrade. Should be a great trip!
I will watch for you on your 'Ohana night (wear the moo moo) and try to catch you between the 8th and 9th Lapu Lapu. If you could just slide one chicken wing and a fair sized hunk of bread pudding into your purse, I will meet you in the bathrooms beside the Tambu Lounge. Follow through and just maybe I will keep reading your hilarious posts and blog. Deal?

By now you have received secret communique #43 aka Please Pass the Booze. I see the wispy hand of fate at work here ... cannot wait to see how our schedules overlap as meeting you would be AWESOME!!! :yay:

I'm finally here! :lmao:

Can't wait to read your reviews, especially V&A to see what (if any) differences there are from my experience there last week :goodvibes

Welcome to a new batch of madness! The best and maddest yet! :rotfl2:

I'm still holding out hope that the caviar service will drop back to $125, otherwise I guess Jay and I will have to suffer with the kobe and wagyu beef upgrades. ;)

:banana::banana:FESTIVAL!!!!! :banana::banana:

Ahem.

Heh. I'm not upgrading the beef because I'm going to have some Japanese A5 Kobe in Vegas. Major bucks for that. :scared1:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

FESTIVAL indeed!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

See, we already put the money aside for the caviar service (at $125) so the money is there to spend and since we are doing a different splurge in Vegas next May if we want some uber-tasty beef this is our chance. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear about your Vegas trip. Did you decide if you're going to Le Atelier? I dream about it sometimes ... :cloud9:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

You kill me. :lmao:

I was trying to explain the killer chipotle to some friends at work today and all I got for my trouble was a blank look. I guess if they don't understand the blandening at WDW it doesn't make a lot of sense, but I think it's pee in yer pants funny. :lmao:

Do they know what a chipotle is? It should scare the majority of them if they do.

I think I have found my festival mascot for 2010 (I'm talking about Landru and not the killer chipotle - maybe they could team up)

Oh yeah; they all know their chiles. In fact most of them eat far spicier foods than I do ... I obviously didn't do justice to the story. :laughing:

Yep, I'm going to L'Atelier for my birthday! :D

I have to start this – paying homage to HP…it’s kind of a…‘kneel before the king moment’. Please pass my humble hello’s --- so I maybe scoffed and completely ignored…for sure. I...completely understand...I don't warrant even a suppressed hairball cough.

My very best to Brenda/Jay…wishing you wonderful times as you booze-n-grub with you new mascot.

Was overjoyed to see a new trip report from one of my favorite writers – Brenda. Still need to catch up on a few more pages….should be current one week from now. Some great stuff…look forward to your adventures. I hope you get published some day…remember…you promised a signed first edition.

And here's a picture of our private stash for the trip ... stash as yet not complete! :rotfl2:

It's barely adequate ...

Barely adequate...an understatement....WHERE'S THE GUAVABERRY!!! I’ll have to check my stash…I might have a miniature from 05…LOL!!! Will this one work?

Please rise for your benediction –
May your tummy stay strong and liver rebound quickly. Go…eat…drink…fall down…get back up again!

Safe travels….take good care my friends……Kevin

Brenda,
Hope you have a great time next week. We just returned on Sunday and had a great time eating around the world. Especially loved the tenderloin with sweet potato puree from South Africa (and the wines from Goats do Roam).
Looking forward to your reviews! :):)

Another Molar Express DISer!! :banana: Boy, do I ever miss THAT thread! :grouphug:

Where's Paul? Was that the dude with all the kids?? I believe he had two more since the cruise in 05'. :confused3:goodvibes

I'll be picking up my Guavaberry in just two more weeks!!:yay::yay::yay: (And, of course, the Rum Cake which will never make it home). ;)

KEVIN!!! :hug: It's always so good to hear from you and I'm honored that you've signed on to follow our gorge-fest. :goodvibes

Pete is doing well ... a big, tuff, orange baby who rules the roost; he flicked his tail in your direction so he must be in a good mood. ;)

Ahhh, the guavaberry! If it were sold in miniature I'd definitely bring some along for the trip, but alas ... no one in Stinktown even sells it.

Thanks for the good trip wishes - we will do our best to give everyone the best reviews yet form our adventures in dining!

Hey stranger! How have you been? I'm glad to hear you had a good trip and thanks for the F&W tips - they have been duly noted. :thumbsup2

The Molar Express was the best, wasn't it??? I met some of my best DIS-crusin friends on that trip! :grouphug: I haven't heard from Paul in forever ... not since they had their third addition to the family a couple of years back. I miss him, too.

Have a guavaberry colada for me, Goosie; OK? :upsidedow

Greetings my friends! We are officially on vacation even though we don't leave for WDW until the 14th. This gives us plenty of time to get organized and finish packing. It also gives me plenty of time to recover from the unintentional tenderization I gave myself yesterday.

Stinktown was on the receiving end of anywhere between 3-4 inches of rain between early Thursday morning and Friday afternoon, so to say that things were wet and slippery is an understatement. And when you're a clumsy girl like me ... well, let's just say that I left the office to run an errand yesterday at lunch and found myself planted in the parking lot on my butt faster than you can say, "dont trip on those painted lines!" :rotfl2:

The good news is that while I feel like someone has beaten the left side of my body with a baseball bat, it's no worse today than it was yesterday and my mobility hasn't been impaired (just don't touch me ... that hurts right now!).

Better news came in the form of a phone call from Y&B Club private dining about the birthday cake I ordered for next week's DISmeet ... not only are they going to top the cake with a white chocolate Goofy statue, they are going to paint him for me, too!!! :cool1::cool1:

I cannot wait to see the final product next week and share cakey goodness with my DISfriends!!! :woohoo::yay::dance3:
