United never fails to change flight info on me.

A few days ago they notified me of a flight change. But the changes were within a few minutes of my departure times on my original flights. I just hope it won't change again. I don't get why they'd adjust a few minutes here or there.

I just hope United doesn't break your guitar.

We are Southwest people - part because Jason flies so much for work I have a companion pass but mostly because of the service and they fly when they say they are!
The only reason we take anything else is because Southwest doesn't do red-eye flights and I can't stand missing one minute of the festival I don't have to! :rotfl2: Let hope Delta is as uneventfull as they have been in the past!:thumbsup2

I like Southwest cause they sing and tell jokes...

And...

They are one of the only airlines going out of Albany that's not flying tiny planes... (I always think when I get on one of those that "Man... I overpacked...:rotfl::scared1:)

Still totally thrilled that AirTran changed my flight time by a couple of minutes on Oct. 29so I could then cancel it without paying fees and rebook on Southwest, who had a flight that could get me there for the California Grill signature dinner I decided to book at the last minute.

It's not all bad when they change flights.

I have never had an experience where the airline made a flight time change that was to my benefit. I'm glad someone has ... :goodvibes

I am dealing with AirTran stuff today too. On one hand they have switched my early December return flight from a definite "on the schedule" non-stop to one that is pending FFA approval! :eek I know I can switch flights if it isn't approved but it is the one thng that has to happen on schedule because I have to be back in Fburg in time to teach that afternoon at 3:00. A little pixie dust floating this way might help!

But in the process of discovering this I also found out that both legs of that trip had a fare reduction so I have $30 credit sitting in my account. That added to a $15 voucher they sent me a few months ago means that flights for later in December are approaching a doable price. Bob said to go ahead and book them, but I am waiting to see if I can get a deal on a car rental first.

hey, it's not that often when an airline changes your flight and saves you 50 bucks in the process.

Pending FFA approval?

I may have to look at my flights because I bet Elin is at Dulles too - although I'm on United in December I have a lot of Airtran in October. although I'm pretty sure that with the cancellation on the 29th those are all now Baltimore flights.

FAA, not FFA! Sorry about the typo! Big difference, huh?? :rotfl2:

I am flying out of National in early December. Those are flights that they are hoping to be permitted to take over from something defunct or about to be gone, I think. Our AirTran flights next month are out of Baltimore. And if we fly in late December we will also be looking at AirTran but out of Richmond!

sorry! I have to know government acronyms for my job and I thought I was missing one!

Too funny. I've been seeing this (hilarious) thread title for ages and haven't clicked through. How can I have forgotten how much I enjoyed your earlier reports? Anyway, what I really think is funny is that I'm going to be at WDW at exactly the same time and dining at several of the same restaurants- and yet there is not even one overlap. I do kind of feel like I should leave some kind of secret message at Cali Grill, since we will be there the day before.

No overlap at all? :scared1:

That's impressive. :lmao:

Surely we will be wandering (or in the case of my husband and me ... staggering) the World Showcase at the same time? If you happen to see us please stop and say hello ... we're harmless. :goodvibes

The link is "temporarily unavailable". :(

It was for me too. Then it worked. So here is what it says:

I recently had a backstage tasting of a few of the new foods that will be offered along the international promenade starting next Friday. Here's what you can expect:

New Delhi, India: The rice and lentil crepe with a potato and onion filling ($3.25) is a perfect example of great street food, and the recipe is from the internal cook-offs. The crepes will be made fresh at the kiosk, not pulled from plastic bags. You'll find a nice kick of spice in the filling, which make it a perfect match for the Sula Vineyards Chenin Blanc ($2.75). The pear notes in this Indian wine work well with spicy foods.

San Juan, Puerto Rico: Arroz con pollo ($3.50) joins the menu. Another cook-off winner, this dish shines with all the classic elements: piquant green olives, capers and soft yellow rice. It's filling but not heavy. At the kiosk you will find a Bacardi berry colada and a mojito. Both are refreshing, but see how the arroz con pollo is heightened with a Leth Gruner Veltliner ($3.50) from the Vienna, Austria, station.

Rio de Janerio, Brazil: No plate is required for the grilled pork skewer with farofa ($4). The coating is toasted manioc (cassava) flour, a popular Brazilian condiment. A chilly twist on the national cocktail of Brazil, the Leblon Frozen Caipirinha ($7.25) is made with cachaça, a distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugar cane.

Cork, Ireland: The lobster and scallop fisherman's pie ($5.50) is a hefty serving of shellfish and creamy broth crowned with mashed potatoes and shredded cheddar cheese. You can go with the usual Guinness ($6), but I suggest going global and matching it with New Zealand's Villa Maria Unoaked Chardonnay ($3.75). The apple and pear undertones are light enough for the rich , savory pie.

Bangkok, Thailand: The green papaya salad with grilled shrimp ($4.25) will be a surprise to most palates. It has similar flavor notes to jicama and the light dressing and addition of lemongrass adds a sweet-tart complement to the rich shrimp. Ice cold Thai Singha beer ($5.50) is a good match for the complexity of the dish.

Melbourne, Australia: Seared barramundi with blistered cherry tomatoes with arugula dressed in lemon oil ($4.50) places the country's iconic table fish front and center. The sweet, juicy, flaky fish is just one of the offerings along this culinary trek that is more like restaurant fare than tasting samples. Pair it with the Rosemount Traminer Riesling ($2.50). The wine is light on the palate with tropical fruit flavors.

Cape Town, South Africa: Try the seared beef tenderloin with sweet potato puree and mango barbecue sauce ($4.75). The potato puree is bolstered with mashed bananas and a touch of orange juice. You may be full with this one stop. There's no need to wander to another country, South Africa's signature wine variety pinotage hits the spot. This pour is from Fairview Winery ($2.75).

There are a lot of food booth items that we want to try this year, too ... a lot. :lmao: Last year we skipped some booths because they weren't offering anything different from years past, but mah gawd ... even Canada is doing something new this year! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I think I may invest in a moo-moo ... strictly for comfort, of course. :rotfl2:
