What a cake! What a celebration with DISfriends! How wonderful!! WOW!!!
It was really a lovely evening - I couldn't have asked for a better way to welcome the 4-0!

I finally caught up on the reviews!
Great party Brenda, it was so cool being there and meeting everyone. The cake was fantastic as was all the booze
Hi Deb; welcome back! Thanks for spending the evening with us and bringing that lovely bottle of Rosa - I really enjoyed meeting you and hope we have a chance to do it again some day.
Believe me El, she is far from boring.

Having been lucky enough to have met both of you I can say y'all would get along famously!
Awww, thanks Kat.
Loved the b-day party pix! So glad the evening worked out well!
DH was walking by the computer as I was looking at them, saw the cake pctures and said "That is a really cool cake!" He usually just says "Is it chocolate?"
Thanks! We really did have a lot of fun and the cake was awesome! The lady in private dining said they don't get many requests for Goofy so they were excited to have something a little different to play with.
There's a story behind that Disney XD playing on the TV. When we first arrived, the TV was LOUD. And we couldn't find a way to turn the volume down. So I took a considerable amount of time in the Beach Club lobby trying to find someone with the Power and Authority to either turn down the volume or turn the TV off.
The cast member at the concierge desk said that the Recreation cast members had the key to the console that held the Wand of Power (aka the remote control), and she tried to call them or page them. No luck. But someone managed to turn down the volume a little bit (probably manually) on the TV when I returned.
And about this review...
I can't imagine what I was saying to pose like "I'm a Little Teapot" in one of Brenda's photos.
Ah, the great TV caper! Thanks for trying!
As for the picture ... I thought you were dancing???
The only thing that would make the pictures from the Birthday Bash any better would be if you named the people! Wish I could have been there.
We sure wish you could have been there too, Elin! And I didn't put any names on the pics only because I was too lazy.
A belated...and very happy birthday to you.
Thank you!
Uhm...whos the Safety Officer in this meeting? I do believe...after boasting of as an extensive adult beverage consumption list youve published...placing a knife in your hand will require someone to be written up.
I tried to hand the utensils over to Jay but he refused because it was my birthday and my cake and that means I have to butcher it.

He gets all the blame!
Curious minds want to know...what song was playing during this solo birthday dance?
No song ... someone said smile and I decided to do my best "royal wave" impression!
And...again...LEANING. Offer additional credit to Jay for keeping you upright.
WOW!!! What a fun looking group...and very fitting for your special celebration. Thank you for sharing...K
I think I have bad posture!

And we really did have a great time - our foodie-boozie friends are lovely people!
I figured you were entertaining the troops!
She was!!
What a beautiful cake.
It's great to see pictures of all the friendies enjoying your birthday.
Hi Bridget! Thanks for stopping by to take a look - wish you could have been there!
Your cake was amazing! I am glad you had a great time with friends! Your gifts look so nice as well!
Thanks very much! The cake was fabulous, both the decoration and the taste and we had a lot of fun. And the gifts were a wonderful, thoughtful surprise.
I got the creme brulee on my birthday but nothing else. No moose bush, no palate cleanser (I don't mind if they don't come with vodka). So it ain't birthday. It's just you.
Wow. I don't know what to say ... or think.

I guess we caught them on a generous night.
Tell Jay to try the calimari at Red Square. I know, it sounds incongruous.
Duly noted - he wants to know if it's special Russian squid?
That was me. I am not good with people but I can make electronics behave. If it didn't work I would have unplugged the sucker.
Thanks very much - I know it was a lot more peaceful once the damn TV was at least silenced.
What a great birthday, I wish we could have been there! It also reminded me that I need to figure out a b-day cake for Whogirl. Hmmmm....
I would have been shoveling creme brulee like mad at Flying Fish, too--I love that stuff!
Hi Jamie! Yes, we wish you guys had been there, too; it was a fun night and the cake was great! And the creme brulee at FF is terrific ... next time I hope to enjoy it a little more slowly.
