Just spent the afternoon at WDW after taking a family member to the airport, and while eating lunch at Olivia's, we noticed that all the guest pictures were gone from the main dining room. We asked the CM at the podium and she told us that they just re-did the walls in the main dining area and had to take all the photos down. She said that they were looking for a different area in which to display the photos, and in the interim they were in storage. It was funny siting there not being surrounded by guest photograghs.

Now I don't feel so bad that I never got around to sending in our picture.

That had to have been one heck of a spackling job.

I notice that when we ate there about a month ago. They still had some in the side room and in Community Hall.

I stopped in when I was there in Dec. I missed not seeing my picture over the doorway. I do hope they put them up somewhere.

Did they take down the ones between Olivia's and the General Store also? That's where our picture is - above the door of the General Store.

The picture of our children was moved several years ago when they redid the entrance to Olivia's. As of December 7th, it was still in its new location at the Gurgling Suitcase.

I hope that the pictures reappear as they make OKW feel a lot more like home.

I know this sounds kind of weird but alot of those pictures on the walls give me the creaps. There is something that seems kinda of odd about the whole thing. JMHO So I am kinda glad that they are not there anymore.

When we visited in October they told us that they had removed all photos to paint but they would be put back up. The CM stated that they went to great lengths including taking photos of all of the walls to make sure that all the pictures were returned to their original locations. It sounds like there may have been a change in plans.

They have not moved the photos in the hallway between Olivias and the Conch Flats Mercantile. {our photo is there also} At this point, only the ones in the dining room have been taken down.
