Pictures From Your Part of the World

Your welcome, I know my list keeps getting longer, not enough time to do all I want and working nights dosen't help. Maybe in the spring we can get together and meet at Plum Island, if you don't mind being with a Canon shooter.

He's been forced to hang out with a Canon shooter before. ;) He's a good sport about it too. :)

Took this shot last night at a pumpkin carving party. I was surprised at how it came out. I like it, but I am sure it could have been better.

I pretend that Canon is the Latin word for Nikon. It helps me get through the shoot. :teeth:

Setting a shoot sometime would be a great idea. Maybe Andy can find some time in 2009. :teeth: JK

Ah, yes. 2009. That should be a great year. I'll probably have one or two weekends in early February to plan a shoot! February in New England. What a perfect time to get outdoors and freeze a lens. :woohoo:

Of course, I may be on vacation that week! :)

Holy Cow, that new lens focuses from a few miles away? :lmao:

Just kidding. Those are GREAT shots of an osprey. :thumbsup2 I have not managed to get anything good of the pair nesting near my house. What's his lunch? A trout?

Gee February, I guess if that's the only time you have free we can shoot some pics of us freezeing our lenses off or we just might be lens deep in snow!

It's a great time to work on white balance though! No more gray snow.

This in only a few hundred yards from my house, sunrise on Sioux bayou on the Mississippi Gulf coast. I combined two images with differenct exposures (for foreground and sky), ran in through a champagne and softening filter to get it this way. Still learning...

Me and the family drove around looking at Christmas lights in our area. I had my tripod with me but I was being pressured by the kiddos to "hurry it up dad". So, I abandoned it and just went handheld which prevented me from getting that small aperture effect on the lights.
