Pictures From Poly trip...

Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful photos! The night pictures really turned out well! It has done two things to me: 1) made me anticipate our vacation in August even more than I was already (we are staying at Poly as well) and 2) inspired me to make an attempt at posting some pictures after our trip as well. We got a digital cameral for Christmas, with our trip this summer in mind.

In any event, thanks again. The pictures were terrific and it looks like you had a great time (even with the rain)!

Great pictures, Laura! They look very familiar! :) But your family doesn't! Hard to believe that we were there the same time and didn't see each other!

I have to tell you a funny story... One day at the pool I noticed a woman with 2 little girls who looked to be about the same age you said yours were. I asked if her name was Laura and she said yes! I then started talking about the DIS and how great it was and how we got so much info from it, etc. Well, the lady then looked at me like I had 10 heads! Internet group? DIS? Huh?? It wasn't you!! :) What are the chances that she would have your same name?!?

Well, that was the last person I asked if they were you! :) But I did have 4 separate people ask me if they knew me. Strange..

We had a good time (room 2505) but DH doesn't want to go anywhere with us for a loooong time! (I'm a SAHM and used to the kids - DH had little patience when they were fighting. hey! They fight ALL the time! So now he won't even listen if i say anything that has the word Disney in it..lol! Wait until he finds out I'm planning on going back in November! :) We'll see...)

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. We liked the Polynesian but missed the convience of the YC/BC area to EPCOT. The short hours of the MK for most of the week stunk! 6:00???? We were just getting our second wind then!

We loved the Kona Cafe and ate several of our meals there. The kids even had the kiddie cones for dessert...yum!

well, I could go on and on. Thanks again for sharing the pictures! (I remember that lightning!!)

It took about.... hmmmmmm a 5 minute walk with 10 minutes allowed for duck viewing.... then a 5-10 minute monorail wait, 10 minute monorail ride to MK. Most days.

We walked from Hawaii one day to the TTC for the monorail to Epcot. The walk too about 10-15 minutes, The girls walked part of the way, the monorail was at the station, and the ride was about 10 minutes.

HTH Have fun! You will love it!!!

I just love the pictures. Now I'm really antsy to get there and I have to wait a whole year!!:( I'd promise to post photos but I can't get anything other than smilies into my posts...I'm not very computer literate. Didn't even want the digital camera my dh got me for my b-day!! However, you have done a great job Laura. Your family is wonderful. Those girls are tooo precious. Thanks again!

I love your pictures! Some of the best I've seen of Disney. The parade pics, castle at night, and fireworks are so clear! Heck, they all are clear! The rain photos reminded me of when DH & I spent our first vacation (at the Poly) together. Rain was coming down in sheets. And we loved it.

Your pictures brought back some great memories. Thank you. And you do have a nice looking family. I can tell from your pictures you guys had a nice trip.

Thanks again,
Annemarie

Thank you for sharing your beautiful pics with us . . .took me right back to our Poly stay in 2000.

I especially love the EWP with the American Flags and the Castle in the background . . .

Did you order that birthday cake from the Poly or was that something they just did for you when you told them you were celebrating a birthday?

We'll be celebrating my DS 9th b-day on our July trip and I would love to have a setup like that!

Thanks so much for posting, it's been a few years since I've stayed at the Polynesian. Going back in Nov. We stayed at the YC Concierge LV last Nov. I'm hoping I won't miss the Convience of the Epcot area. Can you tell me whether you preferred the BC or the Polynesian. Loved the photo's.:sunny:

I have the first part of my trip report on the BC posted on the trips report board.... Part two (our Poly stay) should be up tomorrow.

For now I will say we liked the Poly better.... But it is far more complicated than that! :earseek:

Laura, your pictures are absolutely gorgeous. You have such cute kids and they are very photogenic. Thanks for sharing, you did a great job.:)

Great pictures! Thanks for getting me more excited about my upcoming trip to the Polynesian this September! :)

I dont know where my girls got their good looks... coz it aint from DH or me! LOL

Great shots Laura!!!

Now I am ready to go. We leave in 5 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you did a great job with the views you captured. It gave me some ideas of stuff I want to take pictures of. I just have to figure out our new digital camera before we go. We took 15 rolls of film last year with the regular camera and 3 video tapes full. I hope the digital will be easier.

Thanks again.

Aloha

Steve

Steve.... how large is your...... memory card? <snicker> Hubby upped mine to a 256 mb and I took advantage of it.... I took ONLY 198 pictures this trip, but our trip last January I took well over 300. Nice to just pick our the really good ones for printing... then I burn them onto a CD for all times sake.

Next trip I am getting a telephoto lens and a tripod.... I need clearer pictures of that darn Castle!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have fun on your trip!!!

We will have a couple of 128 mb cards and 3 16 mb cards. I think it should be enough. If not I am sure they sell them there.

We need to start packing soon and I need to play with the camera. Things are crazy around here. We sold our house last week and got a new one that we move into after we return from 2 weeks in WDW. It is going to be a crazy summer!!!
