My family and I will be dining at Kona in January for the first time. We have been to the world many times but never to Kona. I hear so much about the sticky wings and sushi........does anyone have any pictures of food from Kona???? :cutie:

oh boy, i think kona was the best place yet!

i will try to dig up pics from last year.

i remember DH had Tuna Oscar - served with fried green tomatoes, tempura-fried jumbo lump crab, and wasabi hollandaise. i am not a fan of fish by any means and it was delicious!!! and he had the Kilauea Torte for dessert which was phenomenal.

i had the Coconut Almond Chicken - sauteed chicken breast served with Asian greens tossed with honey-lime dressing, golden pineapple, strawberries, and toasted almonds - again, awesome! and the Banana-Chocolate Creme Brulee - with a chocolate spiral which was very good!

my son had the Teriyaki-style New York Strip - sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze served with sticky rice and stir-fried broccolini - all i can say is OMG!! and for dessert the Kona Kone, which was like 2 feet tall! LOL

definitely will be going back!!

Left to right,: A Magical Star Cocktail - “Light up your celebration with X-Fusion Organic Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, and a souvenir Multicolored Glow Cube $10.99." the martini in the middle: for $9.25: Godiva Chocolate Martini, a mixture of “Stoli Vanil Vodka, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, and Frangelico" Least expensive, on the right, at $7.25, is the “Island Sunset, which was “A delicious blend of spiced rum, coconut rum, melon, and peach combined with our guava passion fruit juice.”

"Chocolate Fondue $6.99." The chocolate fondue was served with strawberry, pineapple, kiwi fruit, orange, a macaroon and a sugar wafer.

Kona Kone $5.99 for two over-sized scoops of ice cream, one chocolate, one vanilla in a giant waffle cone. served upright in a conical stand, and drizzled with chocolate sauce and Mickey sprinkles. Then it’s topped with a dark-chocolate mickey candy wafer, and the stand is surrounded by a "cloud" of blue cotton candy. The plate is scattered with candy-coated chocolate candies

AND IT WAS ALL AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS...as well as great service. But NOISY - place was packed on a Saturday night at 7:30 in May:thumbsup2
