Fellow Louisiana girl coming out of lurkdom to tell you that I am enjoying your tr. It looks like y'all had a great time. ( I live in MS now but will always be a LA girl at heart) I love all of the pictures. Thanks for sharing.
We will also be in WDW Sept. 6-14 staying at POP. Are your inlaws still planning to go with you? I know what you mean about taking a trip for yourselves. We always vacation with my parents and my dsis and her dh, which is great, but it's also nice to have alone trips also.

Thanks for saying hi! Yes, the in-laws are still planning on going, but since Darren told them that we're driving ourselves, they might only go for like 5 days...So we'll still be by ourselves a little while

January 26th, Saturday. Day 2. Part 3.

It was lunchtime now, so we went to meet Darren's uncle and his family at Rainforest Cafe. I love this place!

I don't know what I'm doing here?

So we get inside and put our name on the list. It was about a 20 minute wait.
While we were waiting, Darren and I took our annual pictures in the booth.

Then we went shopping for some things. I got some shorts, a magnet, Darren some boxers, and my nephew a sippy cup.

I got the chicken nuggets and Darren got the cheeseburger. He also got some kind of drink, but I can't remember what kind. It was good though. Maybe a Margorilla?

Anyway, after eating we were pretty tired so we decided to leave Animal Kingdom and head back to the room. We got back to the hotel at around 4pm.

Around 4:45, we figured we might as well go to Wal-Mart, and Darren just HAD to go to the Nike outlet, so we left.

At Wal-Mart, I got two pairs of capris, a shirt, swimming trucks and a stuffed Mickey for my nephew, and a deck of Little Mermaid playing cards.

And at Nike, we got my nephew a cute little outfit. It was only 7 dollars!

We got back to the hotel at around 7pm. Here's Darren's shoes and ball he got at Nike:

I don't know why he always makes those goofy faces. He's a lunatic, I tell ya.

Well, now we were hungry again, so we went to the food court. We decided to try the quesadilla this time.

These were SO good! The Coke was nasty. There's like 4 different spots to get Coke, but they all had either too much syrup, or not enough. And my Coke has to taste right, or I can't drink it. We figured they'd get it fixed later, and just got something else to drink.

The quesadillas were so good, we got two more and brought them back for Darren's parents. Then we took a shower and played Rummy with the Little Mermaid cards.

Darren won, but only because I went easy on him

So after trying to mess with the sucky thermostat (it wouldn't move off of 68 degrees the WHOLE TIME. And I was cold!!) we went to bed around 11:45. Darren was sweet and rubbed my sore legs before we went to sleep. Awwwww

Up next, MGM...oh wait, HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS!!!!! See ya real soon!

I love Rainforest Cafe. They have the BEST drinks there. You got lots of souvenirs. YAY for shopping!! <--had to use him cause I don't feel like looking for the nanner

The quesadillas look really good, too. Do they have lots of junk in them. I only ask because I don't like onions or tomatoes in my quesadillas. If I were to get them, I would just want chicken and cheese. I'm so boring.

I can't wait to give Rainforest Cafe another try. I ate at one back in high school and had a bad experience but I really want to give it another try. Hopefully they won't ruin my nice skirt this time around.

I don't understand why they took out the nanner...I think that was the most used smiley on here! And the quesadillas were just chicken and cheese, but it was much, much tastier than the ones from Epcot on the first night. I hate tomatoes, so I'd know if it had any. You should try them! You're not boring either, because I like my food as plain as possible

No, it was a Rainforest Cafe in Norfolk, VA. My mom and I ate there before going to see a performance of Phantom of the Opera. Well I guess somebody had dripped some kind of sauce all over the table and chairs where we were seated. They wiped the table clean but not the chair. Of course it was very dark in the restaurant so I did not notice anything on the seat until I sat down and felt the wet goeyness all over my nice skirt. I was not impressed. It's been 10 years though so I think that I can chance eating at one again, I will just be very vigilant about where I sit.

Okay all caught up again. Love the updates. Thanks. Hope you get another one up soon. Love all the pictures. I stayed at CBR and loved it. Stayed in Aruba and walked thru the little island to get drinks and food. It was lovely in the mornings.

Gross!!! Did you still get something to eat after that? The food is okay, I just like it mostly for the atmosphere. Hopefully Disney knows how to clean the chairs!
