Pictures at WDW

I've heard people say that cast members take your picture in front of the castle, or on rides and then you have the opportunity to purchase them later. Can someone tell me how much these pictures cost? How big are they? Do they just come up to you and take your picture, or do you have to ask? I'm sure on the rides, there is a camera installed somewhere along the ride that automatically does it. Any replies will be much appreciated. Thanks

Yes, all the ride cameras are fixed to the ride and will take your picture each and everytime you ride. When you get off the ride, there is a special place that is clearly marked so that you may look at your photo and decide if you want to buy it.

Also, at every park, usually near the entrance, there are park photographers that ask you if you want them to take your picture. They will take your picture and give you a little card with your photo # on it. Later on in the day, you can go look at your photo and again, decide if you want to purchase it. These come in different sizes and different prices. I would say the average is about $10-$15.

Sometimes, these park photographers are also located at special places throughout the park, like character greetings and will do the same thing.

Tip:It costs nothing to you to get the picture taken, so might as well try it and maybe you will like it! But remember, you can also ask the photographer to take the same photo with your own camera and it costs nothing!! Most CM's will GLADLY do this for you!
