Pictures and Posts

I would like to post a trip report but it says I cannot start a new thread, only in that forum. I saw the thread here about the registered user thing, but it says I am earning my ears and does not say I am a registered user. I don't think I got a registration e-mail. Also, if I can do the trip report, how do I insert pictures? I saw the image code but I don't know the URL for my pictures. Thanks!

for the pics, you need to upload them to something like photobucket or flicker... which are online hosting sites. then you use the img tag and put in the url that points at that photo site.

You probably got the email, or need to check that you put in the right email address, that stuff is in the User CP control panel

if you are not properly registered, this is the only forum you can post to.

It looks like you're registered now. I also believe you might need 10 posts before you can post a picture.

I am guessing that you may have been trying to post in the sub-forum "Completed Trip Reports". That forum is only for the moderators to move threads to once they have been completely written. You need to post your Trip Report here: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18

The word "Completed" refers to a completely written report, not a Completed trip. It is a bit confusing unless you read the Sticky's at the top of the Forum there.

And you do need 10 posts to post photos. See the FAQ's (under construction) at the top of this forum and there are a lot of links to help you, including how to post photos.
