I have not abandoned my October report, but starting this one in parallel.
======================
The last picture of the trip.........
Armand (aka Hathaway Brown) and Remy making this little girl's day..
Armand: Where did you get your dress (pretty pink Oriental)?
Girl's Mom: (with finger quotes) in "China"
Armand (looking around): Oh, like this is France! (crowd laughs)
Armand (to little girl): How old are you?
Little Girl: Four, turning 5 tomorrow.
Armand: I'm having my first in a few months. I hope she is a cute as you!
Even DS23, who is normally indifferent to 4 year old girls, thought this was a Disney moment!
=========================
There I was over Thanksgiving weekend trying to think of ways to best use the 6 hours between getting off the cruise (Dream, Dec 11-15) and going to the airport (6:15 pm flight, now that SWA no longer has a mid-day, non-stop flight from MCO to BUF). I looked into the airport Hyatt, thinking we could take a nap. Thought about hanging around a WDW resort lobby. Thought about seeing what exists outside WDW. Fortunately, my CM uncle had a park pass, so, we ate a leisurely breakfast onboard (6:45 am), got the rental car (8:30 am), made reservations for Chefs de France from the car and met DU at International Gateway by 9:30.
Here we are toasting our last day of vacation, with a St Germaine cocktail (never had it before this trip, now a tradition (definition of "tradition" = "anything a baby boomer does more than once"), more than a little fatigued (make-up-free, hair-gel-free), but not caring!!
Cocktail = St Germaine liquer, soda water, champagne
.
