Picture swap

I know. And you all know that I will participate again. No worries. Actually, I kind of had forgotten to reorder those pictures. So thanks for reminding me. :)

I'm going on my Alaskan cruise 9-6 and won't return until 9-18, so turn around wouldn't be very fast for me. So if that won't be a problem then I would love to join in.

I'll be away mid-late August, but if we exchange photos digitally rather than by post it might help. Do we send the actual pages which will be going into the albums, and get them back all mounted up, or does our partner mount everything on appropriately-sized cardstock which we then adhere?:confused3
I'd like a bash at girly pages, use up some nice pink frillies for a change:goodvibes

When I did it we sent the pages ready to put into albums.

So do you receive the right size pages with the photos, then put the two together creatively and return?

Otherwise you're all stuck with Cm pages from here;)

I have used whatever materials I have- many times I do my pages on 12 by 12 cardstock- and create the others pages. You will recieve a layout (In the size you request) from the partner using there materials. If you usually use cm products for your pages then you could use those for your partner. It shouldn't be a problem.

In the last swap I was in we emailed pictures and any journalling wanted on the page (or gave a block for the amount if they were handwriting it) and then I created my pages after printing the photos. I partnered with 2 different people. One of them used a photo ordering services while I have a high quality photo printer so i printed the photo myself (i also wanted to use a variety of sizes on the pages I was doing). We can either email digital photos or mail photos.

Like Rebecca said, I do my pages on cardstock. So you would just create the layout put the pictures on and mail to your partner.
Mazda- do you have access to cardstock?

You can request your layouts on any size you would like also.

I have a ton of bazzil;) so I can do pages any size people needed.

Okay, I will get Buffy to add this to the calendar. Sign-ups Monday. Due date end of September. :)

Question: Can we crop or trim the photos we receive? Do the photos we send have to be 4x6? I usually print at home and I frequently use 4x4, 4x3, 3x3 and/or 2x2 to maximize the number of photos on a page.

I would say you could crop the photos you receive, if someone really doesn't want them cropped maybe send a note. And the pictures you send can be any size you would like.

I would suggest when sending photos to your partner you do not send photos that can't be replaced or copied again. I was thinking we would do a 2 page layout, so maybe send 6-8 photos to your partner, they can use all or some of them, if you want them to use all of them, include that on your note also. Sometimes when I do a layout it depends on how much journaling or embellishing I do as to how many pictures I put on a page. Usually, I only use 2-3 pictures on a page unless I have alot of pictures of a certain event and don't want to do more layouts.

I'm going to come up with a few questions to fill out for when you sign up. :)

The last time we did this, it worked out well, except for a no show :(

I liked sending an embellishment or a suggestion as well, to make a little bit of a challenge for the person doing the scrapping. That said, I'd be happy to do it without that too. It was great seeing what I got back. I love my Pop Century and Christmas pages from the last one.

This gives me time to work something out :goodvibes
