Picture resizing

I have a couple of questions. I remember that I resized a couple of pics that I put into my signature, but I removed them a while ago. I've tried to put different pics...just google searches of sports logos...but I cannot resize them anymore. Am I going crazy and I wasn't able to before? I dunno.

Also, how do I resize a pic in a post? I know how to get a pic into the post, but it is always gigantic. I see a lot of people that have smaller resized pics and was wondering how that happens. Any help will be appreciated. I think I should know this by now but o well lol. Thanks in advance!!

I use http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm. It will resize your pic but it won't bring down the pixels to make it smaller. If that makes since . You can make your pick any size you want with that program.
