DF and I had our e-pics done with Randy this weekend and after we sat down to talk about what we are doing for our wedding photo shoot. Randy asked us if we were going to do any daylight shots since our wedding is at 5pm. What? DF and I didn't even think or realize it! Randy said depending on how we feel we could meet privately before the ceremony and then do our pictures or we could do indoor shots after the ceremony along with some sunset shots. However DF and I are very old fashioned and didn't or want to see each other until I was walking down the asile. Not only that I have my heart set on a candlelight ceremony so changing the time, as of right now, I don't want to consider.

Now, we don't know what to do! I want to have daytime pictures but I also don't want to see DF before the ceremony! :sad1:  :confused3

Has anyone had this problem? What did you do?

what time of the year is your wedding? Right now its staying light outside until atleast 8. That would give you plenty of time to take pictures after the ceremony! HTH!

We are getting married 12/14/09 so it will be dark by 5:30 or so just when our ceremony will be ending.

OK, now I know you have your heart set on not seeing each other before the ceremony, but.... I am a huge proponent of the staged first look, which is where the bride and groom meet privately before the ceremony and the photographer (and videographer, if you want) shoots that moment where they first see each other. Then you can take as many pix as you want before the ceremony.

This is what we did and I *much* preferred it because when we saw each other, we then had a private moment for just the two of us to smile and laugh and be knocked out by how well we'd cleaned up! :rotfl: If our first look had been at the altar, we would have had to keep quiet til the end of the ceremony instead of sharing our excitement.

It also meant that we got great photos of our first look:

I agree with lurkyloo, I saw her video and it is stunning and they saw eachother before the ceremony. It was beautiful :lovestruc I actually thought like you did, I would want that moment to be secret till the ceremony but like I said, once I saw lurkyloo My heart was like hey we can do something like that too.. It was very pretty and a very private moment for the 2 of them to take in that moment. I was married once before and once I walked down the isle I felt like everything was soo fast that I did not take in that moment, so this time I think I would have intimate time with him before

You could always get dressed up again the next day to get some daylight photos?

thanks to Lurkyloo, we too did the staged first look- I am waiting on my pictures- but it worked out great!! We were not going to see each other and after seeing how perfect it turned out for her we decided to do it too.

it was great because it calms those nerves and since we got married in Epcot we got to go early and take lots of pictures in world showcase that we never wouldve been able to get and being together anticipating the ceremony was fun.

I completley forgot you did that Carrie! I had watched your video too and that moment was so beautiful!

I am not sure, I was wondering it Randy would come back the next day to do daytime shots, I will have to ask to see if that option is open.

Good point! Hmm..I am going to have to talk to DF to see what he thinks. He is the one who said "Why don't you ask the girls on the boards?" He is so brilliant at times! :rotfl:

Shoot!!!! I want to do the staged first look but we will be doing our MK and Epcot shoots at 6am the day of the wedding...hmmmm...

I'm wondering if there's a way if the Disney photographer we get would take some..should i ask Tanis my coordinator? I'm thinking this would happen quite a bit for couples who do the park shoots the morning of their wedding...

Like maybe have Eoghan waiting for me somewhere...what do you guys think? Is this even a possibility that the photographer would do that? I don't think I will have my flowers yet as I think I get them when we arrive at MK (as someone replied to my question about that), but I still would love it to be captured on film....sigh

I don't think I could ask Randy to show up at our rooms at 5:30 in the morning just to take a few shots of us seeing each other in our garb for the first time!! :rotfl:

Advice? Opinions? Thanks!

You could always do a staged second look :rotfl:

I think Disney Photography could make that happen! You can either ask Tanis or, I think, Rosie your floral coordinator b/c she books the MK shoots for Escape brides. :thumbsup2

It just might be a little hard to coordinate with only one person (your photographer) there... but I bet a bellman, a valet or some other hotel staffer hanging out in the lobby at 5am would probably be thrilled to help out.
