I am travelling to US, IOA and a few of the other parks in May/June 2012 and I just wanted to ask if there is any type of photo pass type thing for US & IOA? We are a family of 11 and it would be good if there was some sort of disc that we could buy which would have all our pictures that get taken at the parks. I know they do something like this at Disney.

Can anyone give me any clues? Also would it include pictures taken from the rides.

Thanks

the darkside does not have the photo pass system (on disc) as the motherland has.

They actually do. It's called Universal's Photo Connect, although it is nowhere near as good as Disney's PhotoPass. You can order basically anything BUT CDs. You can get downloads, print outs, calendars, posters, bags, and more.

There are two different ways to use the service. Please note, that this works differently then Disney PhotoPass.

As you travel around the park, you will find tons of photo opportunities with Universal photographers. When a photographer takes your picture, they will hand you a slip of paper with a number. Each time you take a picture, the photographer will do this. This is the FREE way to use the service. Also, you cannot collect ride photos with this option.

Now when you are at the end of a ride with a photo, purchase that photo. This qualifies you for purchasing the Photo Connect Pass. Then purchase the Photo Connect pass. Now, whenever you go up to any ride photo kiosk you can purchase it for $5 (less then the normal $25 for photos) or have linked to your Photo Connect, which is free. You can also show you PC Card to any photographer who takes your picture and they will put the photo on it. I highly recommend this option! This will save you time and money, plus no lugging tons of photos around. Hope this helps!

i said, not on disc.
Sorry, I didn't mean it to be mean in any way. My apologies. I just wanted to add to what you said. I acturaly found your post really funny. Sorry, didn't mean to offend you:thumbsup2:.

So I just want to make sure I get this right. First photo that I want to buy at the ride, I pay for it and ask for a Photo Connect Pass, and then I can have other ride photos and park photos loaded to this pass for free?

Then do I take the Photo Connect Pass home and print it out on my own printer or is the pass something I can take into a shop and get the pictures printed out on or do I open it up at home and then load the pictures to a memory stick and take them to the store?

Is the PC card like a park ticket that has a number on it that links the photos to it? Can you print out multiple copies of the same picture?

Yep, you got it! The only thing is (unlike Disney), for Character Photo Ops, you will get a slip of paper with a code that you can add to your library online or combine into your Photo Connect at any picture stand.
