Picture Packages-what is the best solution???

There are 12 of us in 4 cabins going to Alaska. This is a trip of a lifetime for all of us. I was happy to get the VERY PRICEY all inclusive picture package until I found out that it can only be the three of us in our cabin. If we all get the unlimited package, will they take pictures of all 12 of us or will I still have to buy those separately? I totally understand them not wanting just one cabin buying to take advantage but I REALLY want all of us to have a lot of pics together. After spending $300 per cabin, I really don't want to spend more.

It's all the pictures the three of you are in if that makes you feel any better. So if one of you is in all the other pictures, you'll be fine. You just won't get any shots of individual nuclear family shots, which I assume is what the other cabins are. When we've done the packages before, my daughter & vibe friends have taken lots of group pictures and they are always included because she's in them, so that counts.

This is my solution also. We have 3 staterooms for our June cruise. I am just planning on my DDs being in lots of pics with their uncle and grandparents so that I can get as many pics as possible on the cd of all of us.

Any photos that are taken with anyone from the room purchasing the full CD will be included. Regardless of who else is in them. Also, if the room purchasing the CD has one of their minor children in a different room, that child will be included also.

I'll also point out that groups can purchase additional CDs (for additional rooms) at a 50% discount, once the first CD has been purchased.

Are the CDs unable to be copied? I hate to be a cheapskate but why would someone pay $200 for a copy of a CD that you can copy at home. Just a thought.

Where are you seeing $200 for a copy of a CD?

I believe you have link with the My Cruise Photo site to access the photos on the CD once home. It may be protected somehow.

Sorry, if the second CD is half price then it would be about $175 I guess. Not $200. I tend to round up.

The subsequent CDs are for each room. Whichever rooms purchase a CD will have any photos taken with anyone in that room on it. The 50% offer isn't for a copy of the first room's CD.

So, room A purchases a CD package for $350. All photos taken of anyone in that room will be included.

Room B purchases their CD for $175. All photos taken of anyone in that room will be included. This means that if someone from room A and room B have a photo taken together, it will be on both CDs.

This is just getting better and better!! Ok, hopefully last question! If I purchase the CD package prior to the cruise, I know I save $50. Can everyone else do the prepay in our group and get the 50% deal or do we all have to wait until we get on the ship?

You can purchase your CD pre-cruise for with the discount. The other rooms can get the 50% rate, but it must be purchased onboard. And, I believe, you must show that one room has already bought the full price CD. Yes, I know the pre-cruise rate isn't really "full price" but it counts as such.
