Thanks Nick@VB&OKW-the new boat will have to be at least that big to fit any OKW members on it if it comes from POR first. I really hope that is not the case, but I am affraid it is. They might hav a problem getting into the canal that runs to OKW, I would think. We will be lucky to find seats if it does comes from POR, also think of how many people will get off to pool hop and otherwise use the OKW property if that is the case. But thanks again for the photo

We're just back from OKW and I had heard of a new boat from this board, but I didn't see anything different at the dock or on the waterway. Another urban legend?

Hi - I posted that the change was to happen from info from my 9 year old and DH> DH insists that OKW cast member told him that outside service was to furnish service and it was for three resorts...my DS 9 saw a boat that was used for the day. I am only repeating the info I heard, unfortunately, not 1st hand. Not an urban legend, but maybe a bit mixed up. I feel my DH had the info right.

in May ( I believe May1st) not sure. We just got back from OKW/BWV. At OkW we always ride over with Eddie, one of the boat drivers. He told us they start in May and are a smaller version of the PO/FQ boats. holds 32/34 people. By chance we got on one to go to DD/west side from the marketplace and they are very uncomfortable, we sat in the back and when you sit down the backrest makes you lean forward. (they have 2 now and more coming).

NOW the bad news: they will not go just from OKW to the Marketplace at DD. They route they told us will be, OKW to SSR to DDWest/Side to DDmarket and then in reverse.

No more nice quiet cruise with Eddie from OKW to DD in the pontoon

That actually doesn't sound too bad, depending on how many boats are running. Sharing between OKW and SSR could work fine if enough boats are used. Going all the way to POR would make the trip pretty long, though. thanks for the update.

I can live with that. While the prospect of easy access to POR food court sounded nice, the chances of us actually taking advantage of it were slim. I am glad to hear that the boat will stop at both DD locations.
