Picture of the Day Thread - April 16, 2008 - CLOSED!

Personally, I copy and paste the image URL's into my comments about the pics, though there are probably other ways to do it.

i get that you have to copy and paste the url but how do you rename it? like great pic of the "castle" so and so. and when you click on the castle it's the url? is this making any sense???

I'm the least techie person you're ever likely to come across but I think you do this:

Use the example below, except replace any curly brackets {}with square brackets []
{url=http://www.nameofwebsite.com/}Text you want to appear as the link{/url}

So for instance to put in a link to the picture of the American Adventure on the previous page you'd put
{url=http://photopost.wdwinfo.com/data/502/108055101_0729.JPG}American Adventure {/url}
BUT you MUST use square brackets instead of all 4 curly brackets

What you need to do is

1. Open the link of the post # that you want to comment on in a new tab (post # link is located in the top right hand corner of the post): Do this by right clicking on the number

2. In the original tab click the post reply button to open the "reply to thread" page (where you type your reply):

3. Type in the comment:

4. Go to the other tab where the picture that you want to comment is located, and right click anywhere on the image and select "Copy Image Location" with a left click:


5. Go back to the original tab where your "reply to thread" dialogue box is located and highlight only the text of your comment that you want turned into a link:

6. Click the "insert link" button at the top of the "reply to thread" dialogue box (it is a little picture of the Earth with a paper clip on it) and right click and paste the address of the image there and click OK:

8. Preview post to make sure everything looks and works okay and then post your reply...

I wondered the same thing when I took the photo in April. I have no idea where he went.

We were there last Tuesday (6/10) and Stitch was there. Maybe he took a little holiday in April or something. Even Stitch needs a rest.

Phew! I was beginning to get upset that he was gone. We love waiting for him to cool us off on a hot Florida day!
