I looked at the list and the options, and what is offered and what is charged, and I think I will stand with PB. Yes, the new interface is not as friendly as it was, but I can put up with it for free unlimited storage.

Do you have a pro account with them? I don't but PB is telling me that I've used 92.40% of my storage and then I would have to upgrade to a pro account and I thought you had to pay for that.

Thanks! I have very little TL pics so this time I took a whole bunch of everything which I am going to do for the next week or so. I even got one pic that Jud had not seen before. I am proud of that shot and took it just for him.

Huh. Okay, there is a limit on PB- didn't know that! I am at 21%.

I went to PB for use here, cause my long time site couldn't post a decent size image here- as far as I could ever figure out. So I post one image there each time I want to post an image here. If I ever get to the limit, I will simply delete stuff there.

Back in the good old days, I used to do a LOT of trip reports and albums to go with them, up to 600 images in some, but usually 100-200. As they were linked to the reports and had been very carefully selected and modified, they were significant. But that site closed a few months ago, so losing a link is no longer an option, it is a done deal. Maybe someday I will put those back up, but what is more likely is I will re-do those TR's and albums as Video TR's on YouTube.

Damn net keeps changing. How many "groups" have the life they had two or three years ago? I was dragged to FB kickin' and screaming, but there's simply no option anymore- haven't had a personal email via email for a long time- I get PM'd on FB even by my most common former e-mailers. Used to deal with 20-80 emails a day!

Wonder where it will all go.

but then there's the backup decisions to consider. I too worry about photo storage websites disappearing too! Then you can get into the whole safe storage/restore options for your computer. I spent three weeks recently backing up just about everything on my laptop to a service that will auto backup every day for me AND I also have most of my documents/photos backed up to storage drives that I don't keep attached to anything.

Sounds great doesn't it but then there's a nagging question in my mind about what DS will do with all this when I'm gone

I know what you mean about FB too and the decline in emails. I really hate FB and how it's organized and possible security issues etc. with it and I rarely use it now choosing to try to keep emails as my means of communicating with others but emails are becoming like a handwritten letter; gone like the dodo bird!
