Picture of the Day October 17th, 2012

After 10 days of no Power, Internet, Heat, Water from Sandy, I have finally been restored. Here is a self protrait of what I looked like after day 10.

I'd say you held up pretty well. But then, I've seen you without make up before...

It was the baby rhino's first day out on the Safari. We had truck troubles (seriously! - keep an eye on my TR for the whole story) so we got to go around twice if we wanted to. It was out on my first Safari, but not the second.

So sorry you had to go through that. I bet you look like a princess now!

I can't think of a caption for this one, any help? ( taken in dinoland in AK)

The "Walk Around the World", for which, many personalized "bricks" were purchased, including one by me, was originally planned to go around the full perimeter of the 7 Seas Lagoon. Plans changed, and it now runs only from the street crossing from the Contemporary Walkway to the Magic Kingdom, to this point a bit past the Magic Kingdom Monorail Station. Here is the end. The canal breaking the shoreline on the right houses the barges of the Electrical Water Pageant when not in use.
Note the monorail track rising from the TTC to the Contemporary on the far shore, and beyond it, the roof of Wilderness Lodge.

This made me laugh out loud!

Fabulous photo too. I hope you are well, Clearskies. Thinking about all the folks dealing with the hurricane, storms, no power, flooding. Keeping you all in my heart.
