Hmm, that's the first I've seen of them actually topping the trees as compared to removing them entirely. Is this happening more often now?? Perhaps they have already removed most of the trees that they needed to, and are now moving onto clearing out the top branches of some of the weaker trees?

One possibility is that if they are removing the whole tree, they will start from the top and cut their way down in an area where they can't just cut the whole tree down at once.
Too funny...we kept missing each other...we were less than 100 yard away from you (at our site) when you took this pic! We were getting read to go to Epcot that morning! I love walking around this area in the early morning!
I was there later that day for lunch and that area was packed by then. I would like to have been in that pic on the porch having a nice cup of coffee Denise.
I had a couple of them around my campsite in the 200 loop last December. My camper was under some kind of a nut tree or something. I awoke EARLY every morning to their breakfast when they dropped the shells on my roof.
