Why did they do away with the train? I think that would have added to the charm of FW?

Railroad bed near 700 loop.

The track was never laid properly, so there were many issues with the rails becoming loose frequently and posing a hazard (possible derailment) not to mention the continuous maintenance costs. I guess it was just easier for Disney to bag the whole project rather than do it right in the first place.

and Shannone1. As you are no doubt aware from my post on the other thread, I am afflicted by early risers all around me.

It is all I can do to keep them awake long enough to see the MK fireworks from FW beach. The night-time water parade? Seen it once. Heard it plenty from the campsite though. The 80's synthesized music that accompanies it is soooooo corny.....I love it.

I like to laugh at people too (really fun) but I made sure to leave plenty of room. Just hard to see from the picture.

That is "probably" looking towards the Contemporary, where they are doing some construction on a new building. There are a couple of construction cranes up right now.

Yes, this is looking over toward the Contemporary construction. I was going to caption the photo ' a Heron and a Crane' but stopped myself.

I think they will be working on this for some time. Sounds like when they finish the North Wing, the South Wing is next.
