12 more days until I'll be posting my own pictures of the Fort!! Ive never been, but I can't wait after seeing all these great pics! Can't wait to see the decorations, too. We're bringing lights to decorate our cabin! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to post here! Happy Thanksgiving, all!

You are gonna have SUCH A GREAT time !! Ain't nutt'n like the Fort, cept maybe the Fort during Holidayz !

Well, You see getting the maximum results from TE is like lifting weights. It's not necessarily the weight of each lift, but the number of repetitions.

BradyBz12, those are great shots. I take lots of fireworks pictures, and probably have to take a dozen or more to get 1 keeper.

Thanks! I found out (after taking a dozen or more shots ) that the trick was to set my camera on the dock pylon for stability, put it on the night setting, and then click as the brightest part of the mortar exploded, so that it actually takes the shot a second or 2 later (if that makes any sense). It's tough to time it just right, but I managed to snag these 2 out of about 15.

Those are some of the "native" plants that they are trying to let re-grow, to replace all the "non"-native plants they tore out. I would think in a few years the Fort will be all filled in again with green, that is native to Florida.

When i was there in Oct they were spraying the 1400 and other loops when i stoped someone to ask do to concern for my dogs they told me they were spraying round up trying to kill some kind of potatoe type plant that was out of control and it was smothering the other plants so they were trying to get rid of it so they could re plant other plants

On my last trip, they were spraying for Mexicans......being that I AM a Latino...I was HIGHly offended!!!
