Wow, was that recent? My dh LOVES Megara!

She was out in April. She only makes a couple appearances a year and this was the first time that I got to meet her. Thankfully I live close enough that I was able to go meet her when I found out she was out.

It is a GIANT perfect sphere of granite or basalt, often engraved with mysterious or representational symbols (the one at KSC has star charts) and it sit in a precisely fitted bowl of water. When the water is running, it can be moved if one can exert enough force to overcome its tremendous inertia as even floating, it is still one heavy hunk of rock!
