Me too! Our last beach vacation was 2020 for the National's Dance Competition in Galveston!

Can't believe it's only been a week since this little fun get together! A full week of school "in the books" already! Our last "free weekend" until at least Thanksgiving! Football starts next Friday and soccer on Saturday !

Continuing the beach dream; the beautiful Lanikai Beach on Oahu which thankfully escaped the recent fate of Maui!

We lost a much loved member of our extended family earlier this evening when our nieces constant and protective companion, Cain, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Sweet Cain was always in the middle of our family gatherings and loved by all. One of my favorite memories is last Thanksgiving when we all gathered at my sisters house...almost 20 adults and 6 kiddos! Cain was the heart of entertainment as the youngest little girls would "ride" him through the house and he'd sit right next to us waiting for the "crumbs" from the table during our meal. Kate was at a wedding 3 hours away when a very aggressive form of pneumonia took him from her. He'd been rushed to the Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital by her brother where they worked feverishly to save his life. They did manage to keep him comfortable until she arrived. My heart aches for her ...RIP Sweet Boy.
