Final band concert of the year tonight for our seniors...and their director who is retiring after 37 years of teaching music . Tears flowed....

Well, it's a first for us since we moved here in 2016. Snow starting yesterday closed schools, roads and snarled traffic. We have 8 or so inches of heavy, wet snow breaking tree branches with temps unlikely to melt it until Wednesday at least.

Well, it's a first for us since we moved here in 2016. Snow starting yesterday closed schools, roads and snarled traffic. We have 8 or so inches of heavy, wet snow breaking tree branches with temps unlikely to melt it until Wednesday at least.

WOW...the lamp post are BURIED! One of our friends posted a Facebook picture last night from the Denver airport and I couldn't believe it! Crazy....DGD was just talking this afternoon about getting in the pool down here in Texas!

Final school activity for oldest DGD of the year, Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony! She's exempt from all finals and is unofficially done with her junior year! She's now counting down the days to their annual trip "home" to WDW.

That's an amazing career! And from the look of things he/she was definitely loved! Music teachers/directors have so many extra (usually unpaid) responsibilities compared to most other teachers. Kudos to that director!
