SO proud and happy for our good friend, Paul! He took the Oath of Citizenship today in San Antonio! 🇺🇸 It took 16 YEARS! :faint: Originally from Thailand, he came to the USA to attend school at Texas A&M some 20+ years ago. He was welcomed into our extended family when my cousins son brought him home to spend Christmas with the family. We've grown to love and respect this young man and proudly welcome him as a fellow American! ❤️🤍💙

Spring is "springing" in our area; first siting of our beloved Texas Bluebonnets today! Afraid it's to soon though...our pecan trees haven't budded out yet! Old Texas folklore says we'll have another freeze before Easter if pecans aren't showing their spring buds! We'll enjoy them while we can!

Blizzard conditions came on quickly last night with almost no warning leaving anywhere from 2 to 8 inches of snow including snow drifts; preceded by high winds up to 53 mph which actually blew our grilling cabinet on the deck almost three feet from the railing.

But as almost always it's 50% or so melted by 5 PM this afternoon.

I'll post a couple more tomorrow.

More from our blizzard on 3/18:

The black covered grilling cart (fairly heavy) was blown from the railing behind it about 3 feet before the snow started falling.

Was that part of the system that went east to Kansas and Nebraska? Pretty strong for late March...did you get a chance to use the new snowblower? :goodvibes Love the backyard picture! :tink:
