I honestly think 1972 was the first...and LAST time we were on Bourbon Street in New Orleans! LOL...this "country girl" was NOT a fan!!!

Super LONG day....like a "14 hour day" at dance competition and on the road but what a nice surprise when DGD's group earned 1st place in the Contemporary Division for their dance to Love in the Dark!

Same for us! If we hadn't been staying with friends there we wouldn't have gone in the first place although I did enjoy a tall frothy drink at Pat O'Brien's!

Leaving the "dance world" today for my Picture of the Day to send a hug and best wishes to the wife of my Godson...my sweet cousin Cheryl's daughter-in-law. This very brave women (the blonde) and her fellow advocates represent Unbound Now (human sex trafficking) and boarded a plane yesterday in Houston for the Poland/Ukraine border. Their mission is to train police officers on spotting human trafficking during the current crises. She's an attorney and works with individual cases and assisting victims in our area. The mother of 3 young daughters, she still finds time for this very important, very scary and, unfortunately necessary, work. Yes...we're VERY proud of her and hold her up in our prayers daily.

Excited to get both granddaughters "under the same roof" again this weekend! College girl coming home tomorrow already to watch her little sister in the Brahmadora's Spring Show Friday evening!
