Wanted to do a little something different with capturing the sunrise. And since I had a DCL watch on during this DCL trip, I figured this shot was fitting.

I use a B+W 1.8 ND Filter. As far as timing... I just kind of get an idea in my head how long an exposure I want to try and go for and adjust my settings accordingly. Seeing the show a bunch of times helps.

Great capture Harry...what lens did you use? To a certain degree it looks like you may have used a fisheye lens, although there is not as much distortion as you would normally see with a fisheye shot? Of course any distortion could be corrected in post...

Anyway....I like the shot!

Anyway....I like the shot!

There's definitely some 'fish eye' in there, but I am guessing that is somewhere around the 8-12mm range.

I lose count the amount of time I have been there and It looks like somewhere i've never been (if that makes sense). I like photos that you normally would miss with your eyes - Good shot.
